Fascination Z8
One of the most fascinating vehicles that BMW has built in its long history is undoubtedly the BMW Z8 Roadster. The worldwide fascination with the Z8 is closely linked to the legendary BMW 507 from 1955. The BMW Z8 revived the idea of this classic in a modern interpretation - breathtakingly beautiful, classic in its proportions and equipped with innovative technologies and an adequate high-performance engine.
5,703 units, including 555 Alpina Z8s, were built between 1999 and July 2003 and left the "manufactory" at the main plant in Munich.
In 2003, the BMW Z8 was voted the "classic car of the future" in the convertible category by the magazine "Motor Klassik" by a wide margin. Today, this "future" has already become the present, as the BMW Z8 has developed into a coveted collector's item with a high stability of value.
In the year of the 50th anniversary of the BMW 507, on June 11, 2005, the dream of founding the only international BMW Z8 Club at the birthplace of all built Z8s became reality. Our club is based in Munich and we are a BMW-legitimized club with more than 650 members from 19 nations. The BMW Z8 Club e.V. is a member of the "International BMW Classic and Type Clubs Section" of the "International Council of BMW Clubs".
A platform has now been created for all owners of a BMW Z8 and their partners to share their fascination and enthusiasm for this car with like-minded people in the future. On trips together on the most beautiful roads in the world and exchanging experiences and adventures with and around the Z8. The club also aims to collect all technical knowledge and experience relating to the vehicle in order to ensure its continued existence in the long term.
We would like to invite every owner and driver of a BMW Z8 to get in touch with us and all other club members and to send us suggestions, proposals and criticism.
